Really the more lead time the better, but 2 weeks is a targeted minimum.
We can service many moves in a shortend timeframe if availability allows,
and we do shine in making urgent moves happen if needed!

Lead Times

• Best: 2-6 months
• Ideal: 4-6 weeks
• Great: 2-4 weeks
• Goodish: 1-2 weeks
• Urgent: < 1 week
• Hair On Fire: < 2 days (not necessarily impossible)

It depends:

Shipping a rack with equipment installed will make the de-install and re-install shorter but it can introduce other issues:

• Vibrations during transportation can shake servers and other devices that are installed
• The logistics for in-rack moves can require a crate & larger crew for loading and unloading
• Shipping options are a little more limited

Deracking equipment can take longer but overall the individual servers and devices receive less vibrations during transport due to the individual packaging

• One of the first items is to arrange to move your internet circuit and IP addresses.
       Many times new firewalls and routers will be installed ahead in the new location.
       The circuit is usually ported over right after spin down of the old site.
• Another thing to check is the install of your power circuit with the data center.
       Also check that your old power cords will be compatible with any new PDUs.
• Decide what your down time window will be, and will you move on a night or on a weekend?
• We can rearrange your servers in the rack - create new elevation maps before the move.

• We often can if the items are somewhat limited in number, furniture is not our main work but we can accommodate you to negate the need to hire a separate furniture mover.
